Martha Kate Thomas Fund for Artists
Online Application due Thursday, August 13 at 5 pm

This fund was established in 2013 through a bequest gift to the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County. Grants from this fund will be awarded to artists who live or work in Boulder County and who have unforeseen needs due to special circumstances. These needs may include loss of equipment or supplies, and unplanned expenses due to natural disaster, debilitating illness, accidents and more. Priority is given to applicants that are not eligible to file insurance claims or who may be eligible but coverage is inadequate to cover the loss. Grant awards will not exceed $3000.

Arts on the River - Call for Entry
Deadline for Submissions is August 1, 2015
Call for Entry Form

Arts on the River is a fundraiser for BCAA and the Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission, held along the North Saint Vrain Creek in Lyons at River Bend. The date for the event is Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 12-7pm.

We are very excited to have Rebecca Folsom performing at this event. Singer/songwriter Folsom's latest CD, Reunion, has been described by Boulder Magazine as “achingly beautiful,” and is a fusion of songs, paintings, and poetry.

The Boulder Art Therapy Collective will offer an interactive booth where participants can engage in a variety of art materials and create art to take home. Items made by Collective Members/Artist will also be for sale. There will be food trucks and a bar, including libations from Spirit Hound Distillers.

We are looking for artists of all mediums who want to staff a booth and sell their work at the event. For all work sold during the event, BCAA and LAHC retain a 30% commission (split evenly between the two nonprofit organizations). Tent, table, and chairs will be provided.

There is no fee for submitting your entry. If selected, the fee for an artist's booth is $20 BCAA members/$40 non-BCAA members. Applications are through the online form on BCAA's website. Acceptances are being made on a rolling basis until filled. Don't wait - we are over half full already!
