The Art As Medicine show is a juried exhibition that celebrates the power of art to heal or to help one to better cope with their situation. For some people art is an essential aspect of their recovery; whether this be physical, mental, or spiritual recovery from chronic depression, alcohol or drug addiction, intense grief, PTSD/trauma, severe physical injury, or a life-altering or limiting illness like cancer, Parkinson’s, etc. Artists, 18 or older, who have experienced healing through art are invited to submit art in any visual art medium for consideration.
