Description
Hi everyone!

I am always looking for board members for my non-profit. Also looking for volunteers to schedule this program for this semester and especially for the month of April celebrating Earth Day. EarthDay.org has announced the theme for this year as 2017 theme: Environmental and Climate Literacy. Yes - timely! SO important.

And not only does this program help with literacy, it's a fun way to learn! Students (and adults) love the art, photography and live music! And I make it as interactive as possible.

I provide a booking fee to anyone who books an event. This could be at schools, libraries, museums, groups, homeowners association or anywhere and anyone to improve their environmental literacy and stewardship of our beautiful planet Earth! (but almost 50% I do free of charge as it is a labor of love!

thank you

Laurie D

"What Can I Do?" Spaceship Earth

"Spaceship earth is not really a metaphor: we've got one planet, and it's experiencing unprecedented mechanical difficulties. This presentation helps remind us how we can do our part to get it back on course."

-        Bill McKibben Best selling author and founder of 350.org

This 30 - 60 minute powerful multimedia presentation engages the right and left parts of the brain through the use of art, photography (renowned John Fielder and Karl Snyder), film and live music thus making a strong impact.

While having fun and being involved, folks will learn simple solutions and ways to be better stewards of our beautiful planet Earth.

“Your presentation really engaged the youth by incorporating music, powerful imagery, and storytelling.  I especially loved how you allowed the youth to be the experts by allowing them to voice their opinions and share their knowledge.  Though the topic of earth stewardship can sometimes leave people feeling sad, there was an overall air of hopefulness and optimism in this presentation, which I feel really resonated with the youth.”

- Kyl Caragol Associate Director – Teen Programs YMCA of Boulder Valley

"This woman taught me more in an hour performance about what I can do to help save our planet than I've learned in the past 10 years!"

- Stacy

"I think the strongest aspect of Laurie's presentation is her use of mixed media. She was able to hold the students' focus as she moved between video, photos and music. The novelty of the presentation captured and held student attention so they were able to absorb her message."

- Angela Mundt teacher at New America Schools

"Laurie presented a dynamic multimedia show which was engaging on multiple levels. Utilizing a slide presentation as a vehicle for compelling information and singing original songs inspired students and staff alike. The message Laurie conveys in this unique and entertaining way is one of responsibility and hope. Students walked away with an increased awareness regarding the various ways that citizens can help mitigate environmental degradation."

- David Elmore-Dean of Students at Watershed School Boulder, CO
