Bio:
Jazz vocalist, Feyza Eren, returned to her hometown of St. Louis in 2011, from Istanbul, after spending 16 years singing with Turkey's finest musicians. She was the co-lead vocalist in the Turkish folk group Ezginin Gunlugu for 4 years, touring Turkey and Europe. Feyza recorded 4 CDs with the group before leaving to pursue a solo career in jazz. In 2000, she launched her first critically-acclaimed solo jazz CD, I'm New. She performed at various concert halls and jazz clubs, and was invited to play many of the jazz festivals throughout Turkey, including the ‘Val De Jazz’ festival in France with the Ricky Ford Orchestra.
In 2015, Feyza was featured in HEC-TV's, I Love Jazz with Don Wolff. She has performed at many famous venues in St. Louis as well as the Sheldon Concert Hall’s Notes from Home series, the Chesterfield Jazz Festival in 2015 and the Old Webster Jazz & Blues Festival in 2016.
The Feyza Eren Band was most recently the opening act for the prestigious Whitaker Music Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden in June of 2016.
Feyza celebrated the release of 6 CD’s in 2014-2015 with world-renowned jazz drummer and sound engineer, Steve Davis, including their latest 2016 release, Imagination.
