Miners Alley Playhouse presents "A Skull in Connemara" through April 30 in Golden.

Leenane is a small Irish town with a small Catholic cemetery - too small. Widower Mick Dowd is hired each fall to disinter old bones to make room for the freshly departed, and this year's crop threatens to bring to the surface the long hidden secrets of the living. As the time approaches for him to dig up those of his own late wife, strange rumors regarding his involvement in her sudden death seven years ago gradually begin to resurface.

Making his MAP debut is Logan Ernstthal (Mick Dowd). Logan has spent 10 seasons on the stage at Creede Repertory Theatre.  He was a founding member of The Alaskan Shakespeare Festival and has performed at Shakespeare Festivals all over the country including Colorado, Heart of America, Riverside, Utah and the National Shakespeare Festival.  Rounding out the cast is Carla Kaiser Kotrc (MaryJohnny Rafferty), John Hauser (Mairtin) and Thomas: John Jankowski.

Martin McDonagh authored The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Cripple of Inishmaan, The Pillowman and Hangman (just to name a few of his award-winning plays) and is the mind behind this raucous and unsettling comedy about death and dirt. He has been described as one of the most important living Irish playwrights.
