Business of Arts: Is Fiscal Sponsorship Right for You?

Ken Ransford has been practicing as an attorney and CPA since 1984. He focuses on providing tax and legal advice to nonprofit organizations, individuals, and small businesses. He has incorporated over one hundred 501(c)(3) organizations, many with an environmental or creative arts focus. He currently serves on Eagle County’s Open Space Advisory Council. He has served on the boards of many organizations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, and Western Resource Advocates. He lives with his wife and two children in Carbondale.

Kathy Kucsan, PhD, has over twenty-five years of experience in the nonprofit arts world. She is Co-Founder and former Education/Artistic Director of the Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts (now part of the Colorado Music Festival). She has over 35 years of music teaching experience, from K-12 through the undergraduate level. She was an active performer (oboist) and is a former member of the Boulder Philharmonic and Sinfonia of Colorado. Kathy has served as the Boulder County appointee and Vice-Chair to the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) Board of Directors.
