Since 2005, Art in Public Places has exhibited three to ten works of art by Colorado artists in various public locations throughout the City of Longmont as part of Art in Public Places' program, Art on the Move. "New Dancing Moon IX" was installed in 2015/2016, comissioned by Art on the Move. Sculptures are eventually returned to the artists and new ones come in their place.
