Description

What is the grant?

The Cultural Field Trips Fund, through the City of Boulder Office of Arts + Culture, offers funding for Title 1 school children to visit Boulder’s arts institutions and cultural destinations. The goals of the fund are to impact children in schools where there is the most need and increase the exposure of students to unique and memorable experiences that may shape their future in cultural participation, creative careers, and personal lives.

 

Who can apply?

Teachers are eligible, with the approval of their school administrators. These funds will be available to schools only with Title 1 designation.

 

When does the field trip need to take place?

Cultural field trips must take place after the grant funding decision, and before the end of the spring 2018 semester (May 31, 2018).

 

Funding available:

The costs of transportation and/or entry fees for up to $2,000 per teacher for cultural field trips. Other expenses will be considered. Field trips must take place within the Boulder Valley, as defined by the current version of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan (generally those locations in a zip code starting with 803--). Funds awarded on first come, first served basis – with consideration to equitable distribution of funds -- until all monies are distributed. Total funds available for the 2017 to 2018 school year are $14,000.
