Believe it or not, one of the hardest parts of writing a story is finishing it. In this workshop, our goal will be simple: to begin and complete an original short story.
During the 4-week workshop, writers will receive personalized feedback and short lessons in craft that spring from the writers’ submitted work. As a group, we'll sharpen our critical skills by contributing thoughts and input on each other’s projects. As we uncover our unique voice and style, we will identify specific authors and stories to expand our understanding of the form and serve as models for our own work. Led by acclaimed writer and Studio Director Robert Gatewood, this workshop will be a fun and challenging opportunity for anyone in high school with a love for fiction and a curious mind.
