Women’s Art, A Persistent Path to Identity

The mission of this show is to promote local and emerging women artists, encouraging them to share their original work with the community. In doing so we celebrate with them the persistence of art making as it contributes to the artist’s identity.

Entry Deadline:

The entry deadline is December 20, 2017. Entries must be submitted via Café (https://www.callforentry.org/) by this date.

REQUIREMENTS:

Media - All media

Images - Maximum: 3

Images at 96 dpi; file size no larger than 2MB; format must be jpg.

3D pieces: please specify height, width and depth. Submit 2 images, with a view from 2 sides. Your electronic image may be used for promotional purposes, if the work is accepted. Please specify artwork measurements, height and width.

Entry Fee

There is no entry fee for one to three artworks entered. Artists accepted to exhibit will not be charged additional fees of any kind

TIMELINE SUMMARY:

SUBMISSION DEADLINE - December 20, 2017

NOTIFICATION (by email) of accepted work

January 16, 2018 - Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than January 16, 2018. Notification will be made via email. 

ARTWORK DROP OFF DAY

February 10, 2018, 9 am – 1 pm

EXHIBITION DATES:

February 12 – March 31, 2018

 ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS:

The competition is open to 2D and 3D women artists, living and/or working in Boulder County, working in all forms of painting, drawing, photography, graphics, digital, and sculpture are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

For this show wall mounted works must not be taller than 60" no wider than 36".

EXHIBITION:

Selected artists will be featured in a group exhibition at the Collective Art Gallery in Lafayette, CO. There will be an opening reception and a related Artists’ Salon.
