SPRINGboard ChoreoFest 2018

SPRINGboard ChoreoFest is an incubator for modern and contemporary dance choreography for emerging and seasoned artists.
The program takes place Monday March 26 through Friday March 30, 2018, providing dancers and up to 6 choreographers with 2.5 hours of rehearsal time to create a new dance work-in-progress. All choreography must be created within this week, though ideas and movement sequences may be preconceived and brought in to workshop. Choreographers and dancers will be paired based on skill and availability. These pieces will then be shown in the Grace Gamm Theater at the Dairy Arts Center with full production on Friday March 30, 2018 at 7:30pm.

The purpose is not to have a complete work by the end of the week, but the start of something that will then grow independently. We are interested to see the spark of creative ideas.

Applications are now open for dancers and choreographers aged 16 and above. Click here to be a part of this festival as a dancer, choreographer, or volunteer!
Applications are due by January 30, 2018.

All participants will also receive a free class card to Cindy Brandle Dance Company’s community classes at Kinesis Dance.
Out-of-town artists must be willing to pay for their own flights and accommodation.
