Description[Edit This]

"Line Fragments" is a wood sculpture responds to the larger space of the quadrangle, circulation and from, color, and size of Ramaley Hall on the campus at the University of Colorado in Boulder. This sculpture is a line that runs 120 feet from North to South. The line fragments into pieces of greater or lesser magnitude along its entire path. The line, primarily made of three by 12 pieces of wood, is bolted together and emerges out of the base plane of the concrete to form vertical planes. The line rises to its full projection in a small island of grass north of Ramaley Hall. The extension piece is a continuation of this work.  1981.  Ramaley Hall, University of Colorado Boulder.
