Seicento Baroque Ensemble Board Member Focused on Marketing

Seicento Music Ensemble is seeking a Board of Directors member who will be responsible for marketing.  As a director, your role is to work to ensure that Seicento's purpose of sharing Baroque music with the wider community is being served, and that ethical standards are being upheld. Board members are expected to spend approximately three to five hours per week on Seicento work. This will vary throughout the year, depending on the programming season and your leadership of the Marketing Committee and the required marketing activities. The Seicento Board meets six to nine times per year.

Seicento Board Directors have three fundamental duties:

• Acting in good faith consistent with what the board or an individual board member truly believes is in the best interest of Seicento;
• Doing what is in the best interest of Seicento; and
• Honoring and acting consistently with the requirements of applicable laws; and the organization’s mission, bylaws, policies and other standards of appropriate behavior.

The Board Member focused on marketing shall oversee and direct all marketing activities and will build a marketing committee to implement marketing strategies and tactics.  The marketing strategies and tactics the marketing committee will undertake include, but are not limited to: 

• Developing marketing content and collateral to use in a variety of marketing channels and to build a consistent Seicento brand,
• Identifying the most effective marketing channels overall and for each artistic program, including information about comp tickets,
• Developing and implementing email, press releases, event listings, media outreach, social media, and other marketing strategies and tactics.
• Collaborating with Seicento’s Board of Directors, Artistic Director and Chorus to ensure a seamless experience with Seicento for donors, patrons and marketing audiences.
