Seicento Baroque Ensemble Board Member focused on Education

Seicento Music Ensemble is seeking a Board of Directors member who will be responsible for marketing.  As a director, your role is to work to ensure that Seicento's purpose of sharing Baroque music with the wider community is being served, and that ethical standards are being upheld. Board members are expected to spend approximately three to five hours per week on Seicento work. This will vary throughout the year, depending on the programming season and your leadership of the Marketing Committee and the required marketing activities. The Seicento Board meets six to nine times per year.

Seicento Board Directors have three fundamental duties:

• Acting in good faith consistent with what the board or an individual board member truly believes is in the best interest of Seicento;
• Doing what is in the best interest of Seicento; and
• Honoring and acting consistently with the requirements of applicable laws; and the organization’s mission, bylaws, policies and other standards of appropriate behavior.

The Board Member focused on educational outreach shall oversee and direct all programs focused on K-12 institutions, community after school programs and collaborations with other arts non-profits focused on children.  This board member will build an educational outreach committee to implement these educational outreach strategies.  The educational outreach strategies and tactics that will be undertaken include, but are not limited to: 

• Building the strategy and implementing Seicento’s “Students Go for Baroque program,”
• Identifying K-12 schools and after-school programs with diverse student populations, and educators with a passion for classical music for Seicento to engage with on education programs, in Boulder, Jefferson and Adams counties,
• Working with Seicento’s Artistic Director to build and deliver educational outreach programs for Seicento’s chorus and artistic performers at priority schools and after-school programs.
