Call for Peak-to-Peak Artists! Request for Qualifications
The Nederland Downtown Development Authority (NDDA) is commissioning three (3) artists or artist teams (hereby called artist) to design and create murals in the heart of downtown. Submit your application materials to the open Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to be considered for the project.
Applicants are required to have previous mural experience and must be active, professional artists.
Any artist may apply; however, preference will be given to “local artists” of the northern Peak to Peak Region as defined by residing between Central City and Allenspark, including: Nederland, Coal Creek, Pinecliffe, Gold Hill, Jamestown, Rollinsville, Black Hawk, Ferncliff, and Ward.
Artists may apply as individuals, or as a group of artists submitting a collaborative proposal. Artists wishing to apply as a team should identify one (1) person to be the main contact for the project. Project duties shall be included in the application along with a declaration for one individual who will receive payment, as the group of artists should delegate internally how to divide their commissions/fees prior to an award. Once an artist has been selected, a final design will be required that will include all details for fabrication and installation of the mural.
