Ladies' Night Out: Stamped Charm Jewelry

Bring a friend or two, or your lovely self, and join us in our new gallery classroom in Old Town Lafayette for this fun and fast-paced Ladies' Night Out where you will stamp your own sterling silver or 14K gold filled charms which can be made to create yor own charm necklace or bracelet! Creating custom charm jewelry makes for a great Mother's Day gift for the favorite mom in your life.  We will have a variety of letter stamps and symbol stamps available.

• No experience required!
• The cost covers wine or sparkling water, cheese, crackers, and chocolate, 3 sterling silver or two 14K gold filled charms, use of stamps, and instruction.
• Additional charms can be purchased, as well as necklace chains and charm bracelets in sterling silver or 14K gold filled.
• Samantha can also weld a bracelet with your charms (additional fee).

About the instructor, Samantha Chang

Samantha Chang is from Buffalo, NY and recently moved to Louisville, CO after spending ten years in Brooklyn. She holds a BA in Art History and Management from SUNY Purchase and is a multidisciplinary artist & jeweler who has studied various jewelry processes including beading, wire wrapping, pearl knotting, fabrication, wax carving, and most recently, welding! She taught her first jewelry making class when she was 16 and fell in love with sharing knowledge & techniques. 

Samantha learned jewelry making through classes at local bead stores, lots of trial and error, and has taken metal fabrication classes at the Jewelry Arts Institute in Manhattan. She then was an apprentice for an independent jeweler in Brooklyn. Most recently, she was a bench jeweler at Catbird NYC before moving out to Colorado with her husband. Samantha now has a jewelry line, Saintly, that she sells on Etsy and at art festivals.
