TEEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Adult volunteers welcome! Apply to join our volunteer team to support Boulder Public Library’s summer learning program. Share your love of reading, earn service hours, build skills and connections, and participate in fun opportunities! The deadline to apply is MAY 15 at midnight.
What do Summer of Discovery volunteers do? Teen and adult volunteers support the program in two ways:
Register Participants and Give Out Prizes: Volunteers staff the SOD registration table at the library where kids, teens, and adults sign up to participate in the Summer of Discovery Program and collect celebratory prizes.
Assist with Summer of Discovery Events: The library offers events all summer long where participants can complete learning activities. Volunteers help library staff set up, welcome participants, facilitate activities, and clean up.
Volunteer Requirements and Commitment:
All volunteers complete one 1.5-hour long training session May 18-25
Teen volunteers are 13 years old by June 1
Adult volunteers must pass a background check
Volunteer at least 6 times in June and July
