Mario Miguel Echevarria donated his time to create murals for his two son's elementary school library (longmont Estates). Previously, the library was dark and lifeless. He designed new wall colors; a Mediterranean palette. He created murals on panels and installed them throughout the library. Panels were married to walls with shadows and trompe l'oeil accessories. Project materials were funded by SCFD. Created in 2006.
Murals were also part of a uique reading program invented by artist. "Superhero Detectives are looking for clues throughout the library which are information based and hidden in select books.
